What is the fastest way to level up Leatherworking gw2? ›

As a new leatherworker, you will be working with mostly rawhide leather and some jute. The fastest way to level is via discovery rather than making the same items over and over.

For Leatherworking, you will only be able to reach skill 50/100 with vendor-learned recipes. You will be required to farm renown or use knowledge points towards other recipes in order to fully max out your skill to 100/100.

Crafting in a non-maxed discipline earns crafting experience (CXP). In addition, characters earn normal experience at the same time. Leveling a crafting discipline to 500 is equivalent to gaining 10 levels, while leveling to 400 gains approximately 7 levels.

For an upper estimate it took me 134 hours and 39 minutes to get my thief to level 80, purely through open world map completion and story and with time spent sorting out the bank, chatting etc. but no significant periods just going afk. It's certainly possible to do it a lot quicker than that even for a casual player.

Maximum movement speed is universally capped at 400 units per second; this translates to 136% of base out-of-combat speed, but 190% of base in-combat speed.

As it stands right now, if you follow a particular path for leveling, a Dragonflight 60–70 leveling time is going to be around 4 hours.

General 1-60 Leveling

However, one of the fastest and most efficient ways to level up your character is through dungeon leveling in a group of five players. The idea behind this strategy is pretty straightforward: continuously queue up and clear dungeons until you reach level 60.

Dragonflight crafted gear can be upgraded with BoP items, increasing the item level and quality of the gear. You can craft the gear yourself, or have someone else craft it for you with the new Work Order system. Normally crafted gear starts at item level 306, but can be improved all the way to item level 382!

Elementalist may not be the most popular class, but I think it definitely ranks highly in the fun department. It just has so many skills and having them split across 4 elements rather than 2 weapons leads to some unique and interesting gameplay. I especially enjoy weaver with the additional layer of dual attunement.

Ascended gear is the best tier. It's significantly more expensive than exotic gear, as a full set is timegated and costs 200-400 gold to craft. However, it only offers a 12.5% damage increase over exotic gear.
