What is the fastest way to level up Leatherworking gw2? ›

As a new leatherworker, you will be working with mostly rawhide leather and some jute. The fastest way to level is via discovery rather than making the same items over and over.

A Leather Section is a type of raw crafting material, obtained by salvaging items and from containers. Like other raw crafting materials, they can be stored in the vault panel, and may be sent to the vault from any location.

Crafting in a non-maxed discipline earns crafting experience (CXP). In addition, characters earn normal experience at the same time. Leveling a crafting discipline to 500 is equivalent to gaining 10 levels, while leveling to 400 gains approximately 7 levels.

For an upper estimate it took me 134 hours and 39 minutes to get my thief to level 80, purely through open world map completion and story and with time spent sorting out the bank, chatting etc. but no significant periods just going afk. It's certainly possible to do it a lot quicker than that even for a casual player.

Elementalist may not be the most popular class, but I think it definitely ranks highly in the fun department. It just has so many skills and having them split across 4 elements rather than 2 weapons leads to some unique and interesting gameplay. I especially enjoy weaver with the additional layer of dual attunement.

Ascended gear is the best tier. It's significantly more expensive than exotic gear, as a full set is timegated and costs 200-400 gold to craft. However, it only offers a 12.5% damage increase over exotic gear.

You can make a profit by crafting certain items and selling them on the Trading Post. Due to the nature of supply and demand, the most profitable items are always changing, so you'll have to put in some legwork to get the most out of this method. A relatively reliable source of income is crafting timegated items.

Crafter's backpacks are a group of craftable back items with six different skins for each crafting discipline. Like all leveling equipment, they are account-bound with slightly better stats than standard for their effective level and item rarity.

Farming in this game is simply not fun and there are only a few big ticket mats where you actually gain nothing long-term by selling them, because you will farm to buy them back later.

As rangers venture into the world, they will find new pets for them to tame. Any friendly animal (green nameplate) whose name begins with Juvenile can be tamed (charmed) by the ranger, unless they already belong to another ranger, by approaching them and using F or double-clicking them.

The ideal leveling setup is to stock up on crafting materials and just make as many copies of one item as possible. To do this, visit one of Night City's many Junk Shops. These often sell crafting materials of various rarities that players can use to kickstart the leveling process.

Players can take on a maximum of two crafting disciplines at a time, but they can switch to a new discipline at any time. Their progress in their prior discipline will be saved but they will have to pay a small fee to switch back.
