Redhawks Return to Show-Me Center Saturday Versus SIUE
Southeast Missouri Women's Basketball (5-11, 2-3 OVC) will return to action after a week break on Saturday, January 20, when they take on SIUE (3-15, 0-5 OVC) to continue Ohio Valley Conference play. Tip-off is set for 1:30 p.m., CT. at the Show-Me Center.

Series History
The Redhawks and Cougars will meet for the 53rdtime on Saturday afternoon as SEMO holds a 30-22 series advantage overall. Last season, SEMO & SIUE split the season series with both home teams losing to the road opponent. The Redhawks won the most recent meeting as SEMO dominated 88-72 in Edwardsville, Ill.

League Table
The Redhawks enter the contest with a 2-3 record in conference and are currently tied for seventh place with Western Illinois. SEMO has the head-to-head victory over Western Illinois and will face them later this season (Feb. 3) in Cape Girardeau. SIUE is at the bottom of the league table having lost last night against Morehead State and have an 0-6 record in the conference.

Give & Take
Junior guard Kiyley Flowers has been the floor general for the Redhawks this season, dishing out 52 assists so far this season (3.1 APG). She currently sits at ninth overall in the conference for assists-per-game. On the defensive side, Flowers is first in the conference in steals with 41 total and a 2.7 steal-per-game average.

Free-Throw Line
SEMO has been consistent from the free-throw line all season coming into Saturday's matchup third in the OVC in free-throw percentage as a team. The Redhawks are shooting 75-percent from the charity stripe. SIUE is ranked second in the conference in the same category, shooting 76-percent from the line. Guards Alecia Doyle and Jaliyah Green are first and second, respectively, in the conference shooting 87 and 84-percent at the line.

Last Time Out
The Redhawks fell last Saturday afternoon on the road to Tennessee Tech by a final score of 76-65 in Cookeville, Tenn.

Alecia Doyle led the Redhawks in scoring with 23 points. Doyle went 8-19 from the field, recorded seven rebounds and three assists. Two other Redhawks finished with double-digit points. Indiya Bowen finished with 12 points and Julia Sion finished with ten.

Harley Paynter led the Golden Eagles in scoring with 21 points. Graduate Student Maaliya Owens added 19 points, with 15 of her points coming from behind the arc.

SEMO had nine steals, 32 rebounds, and 13 assists throughout the contest. Kiyley Flowers led the Redhawks in all those categories, finishing with four steals, nine rebounds, and four assists.

Scouting the Opponent
SIUE
The Cougars come to town coming off a 64-77 loss against Morehead State. During their loss, SIUE shot 36.2% from the field and 33.3% from behind 3-point land. The Morehead State marks the fifth loss in a row for the Cougars.

Against Morehead State, Junior Molly Sheehan was the Cougars leading scorer, going 5-10 from the field with 18 points. Sheehan also added eight assists and three rebounds.

Sheehan has currently made the most three pointers on the team with 36, shooting 45.6% from behind the arc. Sheehan is currently ranked seventh in the OVC with two three-pointers made per game.

Ava Stoller, the freshman guard, put up a double-double against Morehead State with 11 points and 12 rebounds. Stoller has 97 rebounds this season and is the ninth best rebounder in the conference averaging 5.4 per game.

Graduate Student, KK Rodriguez is leading the Cougars in scoring this season averaging 22 points per game but has only played in ten games this season. Rodriguez is also leading the team in FG% (.476) and 3PT% (.513).

SIUE has the second-best scoring offense in the conference averaging 71.2 points per game, but they currently rank last in the OVC in defense, giving up 78.7 points per game.

SIUE is currently last in the conference standings at 0-5, right behind Lindenwood who is 0-4 in the conference. The Cougars are shooting at marks of 40% from the field, 35.5% from deep, and 75.8% from the stripe.

The Redhawks will head back out on the road next Thursday, Jan. 25, when they take on UT Martin in Martin, Tenn. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m., CT.
