Divisions
The PCSO is divided into several divisions, each responsible for a specific area of law enforcement:

The Pennington County Sheriff's Office (PCSO) does not release mugshots to the public. However, mugshots may be obtained through a public records request.
To obtain a mugshot through a public records request:

Sex Offender Registry
The Pennington County Sheriff's Office (PCSO) maintains a Sex Offender Registry in accordance with South Dakota law. The registry contains information on all registered sex offenders living in Pennington County.

The Sex Offender Registry includes the following information for each offender:
- Name
- Address
- Date of birth
- Photograph
- Charges
- Risk level
The risk level of each offender is determined by the South Dakota Board of Pardons and Paroles. The risk level ranges from Level 1 (low risk) to Level 3 (high risk).
