Keep your toes toasty and shop the best slippers for WHF days and lazy weekends (1)

Now that summer is officially over (sob!) we're embracing the colder months with open arms. Well, not literally... our arms will be wrapped around us trying to keep warm. But one way to help do just that is with a cosy pair of slippers. Picture it now – you're curled up on the sofa, glass of wine in hand, and a pair of slippers keeping your toes nice and toasty.

Or another scenario for you: you're WFH and your feet are being kept nice and comfortable allowing you to crack on with your work distraction-free. Yep, we can't deny it, the slipper life chose us and we're not ready to let go. While we may be back to office days, commuting and general business as usual, our love of something luxurious underfoot has become a mainstay. And we're not complaining.

What are the best slippers to buy now?

Boots and shearling styles always have a good run over winter and are perennially popular for those of us who love a cosy home slipper. We love women's fluffy slippers for early mornings and out-of-shower softness, but we also can't ignore the emerging trend for velvet sliders.

Lots of fashion brands have stepped up their loungewear offering since our WFH uniform (read: pyjamas) moved into focus, and footwear is not being left out. There are women's moccasin slippers, clog style slippers as well as strappy fluff-tastic options, too.

What slippers can I wear outdoors?

For those who are prone to leaving the house and forgetting to change their shoes (it happens to the best of us) hybrid slipper-shoe combos have grown in popularity in recent years. There are lots of indoor/outdoor designs available to shop on the high street, catering to all your needs. After all, who says we can't live in slippers 24-7?

Obviously, it's better to pull on your running shoes or trainers instead of wearing traditional slippers to make it to the corner shop. We're not just talking from a hygiene point of view, standard slippers aren't designed to support your foot over distance and the reduced traction on the soles can make them dangerous on slippery surfaces.

Probably best for just in front of the telly then. Don't forget to pair them with a super-soft hoodie and cosy joggers!

So without further ado, let's shop the best slippers for women.
